Situated between an altitude of 250 and 380 metres above sea level, the vineyards of Gaggiano are located on hilly plots of various excellent Alto Piemonte appellations. The climate is characterized by rainfall mainly in spring and autumn, cold winters, hot/humid summers cooled by the currents of the nearby Alps and a soil composed by volcanic rocks rich in porphyry, quartz and acid reacting sands with pH between 4. 5 and 5. 5. During the harvest, between September and October, the best bunches of Nebbiolo, Croatina, Vespolina and Uva Rara are picked by hand and transported in crates to the winery.
